This is an exciting London début for Farhad Ahrarnia who combines various mediums, including embroidery and video, basing his images around those of Iranian royalty, celebrities and international political figures, to create rebellious commentaries on the world surrounding him. The tapestry itself is an act of defiance itself as the needle pierces the subject in order to create it.
